From Kings Canyon to Appalachian Trail

Kings Canyon
Hi Everyone:  I am trying to figure this blog out, so please bare with me.  I went to Kings Canyon last year and could not get over the beauty of the giant trees.  I must confess that I took an pine cone from one of these trees and it was the size of a quarter.  How can something so big and beautiful come from the tiniest pine cone.  Now I am in the Smokies, truly another one of God's creation. The blue of clouds hit the mountains and it looks like smoke rising up.  The time here with my friend has been a blessing.  The quiet and peacefulness of North Carolina has given me calmness that was much needed in my hectic life before leaving.

Oops.. Not North Carolina
Oh, wrong picture..  This is the Ostrich Farm in Tehachapi that a friend of mine is a tour guide.  Oh yes, I do have let say unique friends!!!

Here's the one I wanted.  A beautiful waterfall in the Nantahala National Forest in the Franklin, Highlands area of North Carolina.  North Carolina is so beautiful and so green.  More pictures to follow.

Life Challenge:   Say hello to a stranger... Who's knows that stranger may become your best friend.
