Chobe National Park

In Botswana  Chobe National Park is known for its huge population of elephants and buffalo. The park has also wild dogs, lions, leopards and other wildlife.  We will be meeting in the reception area at 5:45 am to go on the game drive. We are staying at Kwalape Lodge in the National park.  It’s very natural surroundings and I got lost several times and couldn’t find my way back to my room, Tonight they had a traditional barbecue and several groups are here. They also had a traditional group of dancers, these young dancers are learning traditions as well as staying out of trouble. The economy is extremely poor and there is little employment. Tourism is their primary resource. So by going out and performing these young people have money to spend on necessities. There is no public schools and you buy your own class materials. Below are a few pictures.
