PC Visit to Masalli

Well, this week I went to Masalli to visit Peace Corps TEFL teachers that have been here from 1 to 2 years.  I was able to stay at two of the PC homes and have been eating real food and have 24 hours Internet. I was able to Skype and I didn't have to go to an Internet Cafe or leave the comforts of my hosts.  We cannot go out after dark so this was just perfect.  I even went to a birthday celebration and I ate until I burst.  I am not going back!!! I observe a few of the classes that the PC taught and received a lot of great tips for teaching students. One of the PC who was leaving gave me a couple of skirts, sweaters and even tights. This has been a great experience and one that I really needed to manage through the rest of training. On Friday it is Hub day, that is where everyone gathers for in house training.  Then Saturday, is cultural day and we are going to Qobustan  where the petroglyphs are over 1000 years old.  We will also go to the volcanoes mud flats near the petroglyphs as well. It should be fun, I will take pictures.... Here are a few from Masalli and my PC hosts....

Peggy's cow mower!!!

I have to explain that this cow is the neighbors but the neighbor brings him over to eat the weeds/grass in Peggy's yard. He looks kinda scary.

Life Challenge:  Character is the ability to carry out a good resolution after the mood in which it is made is past.
